About us
Rimkirim moves personal belongings for people relocating between Indonesia and the rest of the world. We handle documentation, international shipping, customs clearance, and delivery — mostly for individuals moving home, studying abroad, or returning to Indonesia. Our largest markets are the UK and Australia, and we're growing.
The role
You'll own international shipments from the moment a customer's documents arrive to the moment their goods are collected by the courier. This is detail work with real consequences: a missing document delays customs, and a mislabelled box gets left behind in another country.
What you'll do
- Verify customer documents against customs requirements for each shipment type (barang pindahan, barang penumpang — we'll teach you the difference)
- Request shipping rates from courier partners and prepare quotations for customers
- Create air waybills on courier partners portals
- Issue AWB labels to customers with clear instructions on which label goes on which box
- Book pickups with couriers and follow through until goods are collected
- Keep every shipment updated on our system so the rest of the team can see its status
What we're looking for
- Detail-oriented. This job rewards people who double-check.
- Comfortable reading and writing English — our documents, courier portals, and many customer communications are in English
- Comfortable with systems: spreadsheets, web portals, ticketing tools
- Able to work to deadlines. Shipments have cut-off times that don't move.
- Fresh graduates welcome. Experience in logistics, freight forwarding, export-import, or customer operations is a plus but not required.
Nice to have
- Familiarity with export/import documentation
- Experience with Jira or similar ticketing systems
- Understanding of Incoterms or customs procedures
