Job description for Logistics / Freight Forwarding Officer at PT NGFS Indo Nusa
JOB DESCRIPTION
1. Handle overseas network enquiries, quotations, shipment coordination, and follow-up activities.
2. Source suitable vendors, compare rates, and provide quotations to customers within the required time frame.
3. Coordinate shipment arrangements, bookings, and operational requirements with overseas agents, customers, transporters, and internal departments.
4. Prepare, review, and monitor shipping documentation such as BL Drafts, Commercial Invoices & Packing Lists (CIPL), Pre-alerts, Delivery Orders (DO), and related documents.
5. Monitor shipment progress, vessel schedules, flight tracking, and ensure timely updates to customers and agents.
6. Follow up to confirm shipments or obtain reasons for rejection/feedback from clients.
7. Coordinate closely with Team Leader, Sales Team, and Operations Team for efficient execution of shipments and customer support.
8. Follow up and get the shipment confirm or get reason of rejection or feedback from client.
9. Due to overseas time zone differences, the candidate should be flexible in handling urgent emails, quotations, shipment updates, and operational matters beyond regular office hours when necessary. Company mobile phone and email access will be provided for communication purposes.
ADDITIONAL NOTES
1. Minimum 2–3 years of working experience in Freight Forwarding, Shipping, or Logistics industry.
2. Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal) are required.
3. Ability to maintain strong relationships with overseas agents and handle customer service professionally.
4. Sales-oriented mindset with good coordination, follow-up, and problem-solving skills.
5. Proficient in email communication, Microsoft Office, and willing to respond to urgent matters after office hours when required.
6. English fluency, both spoken and written (Compulsory).
7. High qualified in Mathematics and calculation in general.
8. Good computer literacy.
9. Active, fast learner with passion and drive.
10. High integrity, honesty, and strong motivation.
11. Meticulous, detail-oriented, organized, with good communication skills.
12. Critical thinking skills and knowledge of analytics.
13. Problem solving ability; able to work independently and as part of a team.
