Geekhunter is hiring on behalf of our client, a company specializing in promotional merchandise and corporate solutions.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop lighting design concepts for architectural and interior projects.
- Create lighting layouts and determine appropriate lighting placement based on the project concept and requirements.
- Perform lighting calculations and prepare lighting proposals.
- Use lighting simulation software to evaluate lighting levels, distribution, and ambience.
- Prepare 2D/3D lighting drawings and visual/rendering presentations.
- Read, interpret, and edit architectural, interior, and technical drawings.
- Enhance architectural and interior spaces through appropriate lighting design and ambience.
- Collaborate with the project and operations teams throughout the design and implementation process.
- Conduct project/site visits to ensure the lighting design is properly implemented in the field.
- Compare actual site conditions with the approved design and make adjustments when required.
- Prepare design/proposal reports and communicate project progress to the Head of Operations/management.
- Ensure consistency between the proposed lighting design and its actual implementation.
Job Requirements
- Minimum D3/S1, preferably in: Lighting Design, Architecture, Interior Design, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience would be preferred.
- Experience in lighting design, architectural design, interior design, or related fields.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, 3ds Max, SketchUp, Adobe Photoshop, AGi32, DIALux/DIALux Evo would be an advantage.
- Strong understanding of lighting design, lighting placement, ambience, and spatial aesthetics.
- Able to perform lighting calculations and prepare lighting proposals.
- Able to read and modify technical/architectural drawings.
- Experience with lighting rendering and visualization.
- Willing to conduct site visits and understand the implementation process.
- Able to collaborate with architects, interior designers, operations teams, and other stakeholders.
- Detail-oriented with good visual/design judgment.
