Job description for Legal Manager at Fuse Nano Tekno
- Providing clear and business-driven legal advisory on all legal aspects of Fuse Group operation, product and services, and/or strategic partnership.
- Drafting and reviewing day-to-day business and operational contracts related to Fuse Group operation.
- Responsible in preparing legal documents and requirements related to corporate secretarial matters.
- Draft, negotiate, structure and review and legal analysis by providing legal advice on various range of legal documents across Fuse Group business and transaction to avoid or minimize legal risk and to comply with the prevailing laws and regulations.
- Provide day-to day legal advice and consultancy for cross-functional departments, including but not limited to, analyse legal risks/opportunities when advising the current business or when entering a business project, support associated with business process improvement, operational matters, special projects and international expansion.
- Provide continued support on creation, standardization and implementation of Fuse Group legal compliance, policies, terms and conditions, internal working procedures and standard operational guidelines.
- Maintaining the regulatory licenses of Fuse Group, ensuring the fulfilment of all legal compliance and obligations for Fuse Group business including without limitation regulatory reporting and filing, specifically in the insurance industry, regulatory liaison, and leading regulatory audits.
- Liaising with regulators to understand and anticipate new regulation which could impact the business, manage and coordinate meaningful reporting internally and externally, respond to information requests, and proactively communicate business changes and notifiable events.
- Developing procedures to track and monitor the regulatory risk, compliance with regulatory requirements and internal policies.
- Liaising and coordinating with external counsel and/or notary as required.
- Advising on resolutions of disputes, litigation and regulatory matters, including contracts, intellectual property rights, data privacy, and/or employment issues.
- Bachelor degree in law, with 3-7 years’ working experience at a reputable law firms and/or in-house legal practitioner (having background from tech or start-up company and/or insurance or insurance brokerage company is an advantage).
- Excellent experience in drafting, structuring, reviewing and completing legal documents both in English and Indonesia, hence a high proficiency of English is a must.
- Strong legal knowledge for corporate law and analytical skill both technical and operational aspects. Having exposure to and practical experience in technology, finance, commercial transaction, insurance and intellectual property rights related would be significant advantages.
- Excellent research, verbal and written communication skills, strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Strong interpersonal and influencing skills to work well within the legal team and internal/external stakeholder in fast paced environment.
- Desire to play an immediate, hands-on role in the day-to-day leadership and operation of legal department.
- To succeed in this role, the candidate will need to have high commercial awareness, self-driven motivation, dynamic cultural awareness, and appreciation of how regulations affect the business.
