Job description for Legal Manager at Pt. Cemerlang Multimedia
Requirements:
a. Male, graduated from law (min. S1);
b. Min. 2 years as manager, and/or 3 years as supervisor in telecommunication company. Having work experience in a company that has gone public (IPO) or is a publicly listed company (Tbk);
c. Have research skills on law, good communication & negotiation skills, understand business risks, analytical and logical thinking;
d. Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Bahasa Indonesia and English
e. Willing to work both as a team or as individual and able to work under pressure;
f. Willing to perform business travel between cities;
g. Having a bar (lawyer license) is a plus;
h. Have a wide network in telecommunications industries, including to related ministries and government’s supporting agencies i.e. Komdigi (previously Kominfo), BKPM, customs, Minister of Law, immigrations, etc.;
i. Able to represent company to deal with third parties;
j. Familiar with creating annual reports to related ministries;
k. Understand and able to operate OSS RBA;
l. Familiar with Komdigi system/app/and webistes;
m. Able to confront mass organization (ormas) and local residents along with its authorities;
n. Able to handle litigation and non litigation issues
Job description:
a. Monitoring Legal Matters: Responsible for monitoring all legal matters within the company both internally and externally.
b. Compliance: Ensuring that the company complies with all laws and regulations that apply to a company.
c. Legal Assistance: Taking care of the company's legality and helping the company when it has legal problems.
d. Legal Advice: Providing direction and legal advice to the company to handle legal problems such as licensing, patents, government relations, and internal issues with employees.
e. IPO Preparation: Managing legal affairs and preparing the company for an IPO.
f. Communication: Ensuring the creation of a harmonious communication relationship with management and employees.
g. Policy Implementation: Ensuring proper targeted policies and regulations.
h. Negotiations: Conducting all kinds of negotiations including with the owner of the office building, retributions, licenses, etc.
i. Reporting: Reporting regularly to the Board of Directors on the planning and activities of the Legal Division.
j. Licensing: Conducting licensing requests/applications required by the company and monitoring the expiration limit of licensing.
k. Documentation: Storing, recording, and maintaining important corporate documents.
l. Legal Support and Litigation: Providing legal advice and support, assisting in developing new areas of strategic litigation, and assessing and responding to litigation request.
m. External Counsel Liaison: Liaising with and assisting external counsel in the discharge of their obligation to the company.
n. Statutory Compliance: Advising on statutory compliances.
o. Legal Opinions: Researching and preparing legal opinions on various civil matters.
p. Contract Management: Drafting and/or reviewing legal letters, contracts, and agreements and monitoring legal obligations under agreements.
q. Representation: Representing the company at arbitration and public utilities commission hearings.
r. Policy Formulation: Assisting in the formulation, implementation, and/or amendment of company policies.
