Role & Responsibilities
- Lead, manage, and develop the Legal team both strategically and operationally.
- Draft, review, and approve contracts, agreements, MoUs, and other legal documents.
- Provide legal opinions and advice to the Board of Directors and related business units.
- Ensure company compliance with prevailing laws and regulations.
- Manage and handle company legal matters, including litigation and non-litigation cases.
- Oversee company licenses, permits, and legal documents to ensure validity and compliance.
- Identify, analyze, and mitigate potential legal risks to the company.
- Coordinate with external legal counsels, notaries, and government authorities.
- Develop and implement internal legal policies, SOPs, and legal frameworks.
- Prepare and submit periodic legal reports to management.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Law (Master’s degree in Law or Business Law is an advantage).
- Minimum 8 years of experience in legal practice, with at least 3–5 years in a managerial or head-level position.
- Having Exposure in Mining & Energy Sector
- Strong knowledge of corporate law, contract law, labor law, licensing, and litigation.
- Excellent legal analysis and problem-solving skills.
- Strategic mindset with strong business acumen.
- Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills.
- Able to work independently and collaboratively under tight deadlines.
- Active proficiency in English (both written and spoken) is preferred.
- High integrity and strong commitment to confidentiality.
