As we continue to scale our business in Indonesia, we are looking for a Legal & Compliance Manager to help ensure that our corporate, employment, and business operations remain compliant, well-governed, and ready for sustainable growth.
In this role, you will work closely with management and cross-functional teams to manage day-to-day legal and compliance matters, support regulatory requirements, and identify and mitigate potential business risks. You will also play an important role in ensuring our e-commerce and cross-border operations comply with Indonesia's evolving regulatory landscape.
Job Responsibilities
1. General Corporate & Administrative Compliance:
- Monitor and follow up on updates of Indonesian corporate, tax and investment regulations.
- Manage company daily legal affairs, contract review & filing, government authority liaison, license annual review, compliance filing and daily risk inspection, ensuring the company’s overall legal and operational compliance.
2. HR & Internal Compliance Management:
- Fully responsible for local employment compliance, including labor contract administration, salary and social security compliance, labor dispute prevention and settlement.
- Provide internal legal consultation, optimize compliance SOPs, organize internal compliance training, and complete regular compliance reports and risk rectification tracking.
3. Business Compliance:
- Take charge of full-cycle compliance management for local e-commerce and cross-border e-commerce business.
- Familiar with Indonesia’s latest e-commerce/platform regulatory rules, including KBLI classification registration, PSE certification, NPWP & tax compliance, product listing compliance, import label specification, halal certification, data localization and transaction data retention.
- Manage platform store operation compliance, inspect risks of advertising, pricing, after-sales service and consumer protection, and ensure standardized and compliant e-commerce business operation.
4. Other Legal & Compliance Matters:
- Handle other legal and compliance matters arising from the Company’s business operations and perform other related duties reasonably assigned by the Company.
Job Requirements
- Bachelor degree and above in Law or related majors; Indonesian lawyer qualification is preferred. Solid knowledge of Indonesian corporate, labor, tax and commercial compliance regulations.
- At least 3-5 years of relevant legal & compliance experience in Indonesia. E-commerce or cross-border industry compliance experience is highly preferred.
- Native Indonesian speaker with excellent English skills for daily document drafting and regulatory communication. Mandarin capability is a strong plus.
- Familiar with contract review, daily risk assessment and e-commerce compliance management. Independent, detail-oriented, with a strong ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities, as well as good cross-departmental communication and problem-solving skills.
