Job description for Legal Advisor at PIZI
We're hiring a Legal Advisor to support the development of a secure and sustainable Geospatial Hub!
This role is ideal for legal professionals who are interested in data governance, geospatial information, technology, and public–private collaboration.
The Legal Advisor will play an important role in ensuring that the Geospatial Hub operates within a clear, secure, and compliant legal framework, while enabling responsible data sharing, downstream use, and value creation.
What we’re looking for:
- Bachelor degree (S1) or equivalent In the field of business law / economic law / other field related to the assignment
- 7 years of working experience in legal advisor work/project
- Strong legal background with experience in data, technology, commercial, or regulatory matters
- Good understanding of data sharing, licensing, and usage rights
- Knowledge of privacy, data protection, and information security requirements
- Strong legal research, contract review, and advisory skills
- Ability to work with public-sector, private-sector, and cross-functional stakeholders
- Strong communication and analytical skills
What you'll be doing:
• Provide legal guidance on geospatial data sharing, licensing, and usage rights
• Support the development of data policies, terms of use, and access agreements
• Advise on privacy, data protection, and security requirements
• Support public–private partnerships and collaboration agreements
• Review legal implications of commercialization and downstream services
• Ensure compliance with applicable national laws and relevant regulations
