Job description for L1 - Big Data Engineer at PT Data Labs Analytics
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform regular monitoring and health checks on the Cloudera-based Big Data platform.
- Handle initial (Level 1) incident response and troubleshooting in accordance with established SOPs.
- Monitor active services, jobs, and data pipelines running within the cluster.
- Promptly escalate complex technical issues to the appropriate higher-level teams (L2/L3) when necessary.
- Maintain accurate documentation of operational activities, incidents, and troubleshooting outcomes.
- Conduct seamless shift handovers to ensure continuous, 24/7 operational coverage.
- Assist with routine maintenance and daily operational tasks for the Big Data platform.
Requirements:
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in Information Technology, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field.
- Solid understanding of Linux operating systems and proficiency with the command-line interface (CLI).
- Ability to write and execute SQL queries for data validation and monitoring purposes.
- Basic proficiency in Python for simple scripting and automation tasks.
- Strong foundational knowledge of system monitoring, troubleshooting methodologies, and IT operations.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and collaboratively within a team environment.
