Job description for Kindergarten Reading Teacher – Phonics at Miss Michelle Learning House
Position Summary
We are looking for a passionate and creative Kindergarten Reading Teacher – Phonics to support early childhood students in developing strong foundational reading and phonics skills through engaging and interactive learning experiences. The ideal candidate is enthusiastic about working with young learners, able to communicate effectively in English, and committed to creating a positive and supportive classroom environment.
Responsibilities
- Prepare lesson plans for Reading/Phonics classes
- Deliver learning materials effectively according to students’ learning needs and characteristics
- Monitor and follow up students’ learning progress
- Build positive relationships with parents and provide regular updates regarding students’ progress
- Contribute to the center through teaching materials, program initiatives, and collaboration with team members
- Create creative teaching materials and hands-on classroom activities suitable for students’ levels
- Support curriculum and program development
- Demonstrate positive behavior and good manners to students
- Collaborate with teachers and management team to create a harmonious and supportive working environment
- Actively contribute to center activities and support the development of a positive work culture
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in any major; Education or English Literature background is preferred
- Minimum 1 year of experience in a similar role (experience in an international school is a plus)
- Experience teaching Reading and/or Phonics for early childhood students
- Strong proficiency in written and spoken English is required
- Proficient in Microsoft Office
- Able to prepare lesson plans effectively
- Passionate about working with children
- Able to contribute positively to the company and team environment
- Open to feedback and able to work collaboratively in a team
- Demonstrates excellent attitude and work performance
- Strong communication and presentation skills
- High integrity, discipline, and willingness to learn
