Job description for Junior Sous Chef at The Cakap Group
About Us:
We are opening a café in partnership with Bali Street Mums, an NGO dedicated to supporting underprivileged women and children. Our mission is to serve high-quality food while making a positive social impact. We are looking for a talented and passionate Sous Chef to be part of our pre-opening team and help lead the kitchen operations.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in menu development and kitchen setup for pre-opening.
- Maintain all HACCP aspects within cafe operations.
- Focus on constant improvement of training manuals and SOPs.
- Oversee daily kitchen operations, ensuring food quality and consistency.
- Maintain inventory, control costs, and manage supplier relations.
- Ensure compliance with food safety and hygiene standards.
Requirements:
- English professional proficiency.
- Proven experience as a Jr. Sous Chef or similar role.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational skills.
- Passion for quality ingredients and creative cooking.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple tasks.
