JOB DESCRIPTION – Junior Merchandiser
Job Overview:
The Junior Merchandiser will be responsible for supporting the merchandising team in managing customer orders from development to shipment. This role involves coordinating internal departments to ensure smooth product development, timely production, and on-time delivery. The position requires strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks simultaneously.
Key Responsibilities:
• Customer Order Management: Assist in handling customer orders and maintaining order records. Ensure all order details, specifications, quantities, colors, and delivery schedules are accurately documented and communicated to the relevant departments. Records and maintain stock & inventory.
• Production Monitoring: Support the merchandising team in monitoring production progress and ensuring orders are completed according to agreed timelines. Coordinate with production and quality control teams to resolve issues that may affect delivery schedules.
• Communication & Coordination: Serve as a liaison within internal departments. Maintain clear communication regarding order status, approvals, production schedules, and shipment timelines.
• Documentation & Reporting: Prepare and maintain internal merchandising documents, including order sheets, packing list, Time & Action (T&A) calendars and production status reports. Ensure all records are accurate and up to date.
• Shipment Support: Coordinate with the logistics and shipping teams to ensure products are delivered on time. Assist in preparing shipment-related documents and monitor shipment schedules.
• Documentation & Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of all orders and shipments. Assist in the preparation of shipment documentations, packaging orders, and making sure the packing list is same as the items pack in the box for shipment.
Qualifications:
• Experience: 1–3 years of experience in merchandising, production coordination, or a similar role, preferably within the garment, apparel, or fashion industry. Fresh graduates with relevant internship experience are welcome to apply.
• Education: Preferred a degree or diploma in Fashion Management, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Management, or a related field. Relevant internships or experience in garment merchandising or textile manufacturing will be considered an advantage.
• Language: Proficient in Indonesian and English.
• Skills & Competencies: Strong organizational and multitasking skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively liaise with suppliers and internal teams. Attention to detail and a strong sense of quality control. Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
