Job description for Junior High Music or Art Teacher (Placement - Pangkalpinang Bang at Mutiara Harapan Islamic School Bangka
Responsibilities:
- Develop and deliver engaging, age-appropriate art lessons that teach various techniques, media, and art forms
- Encourage students to explore their creativity through art-making, helping them express their thoughts, feelings, and ideas visually.
- Evaluate students' progress and development through their artwork, participation in class, and understanding of art concepts.
- Plan and organize student art exhibitions or displays to showcase students' work within the school or at community events.
- Work with other teachers to integrate art into interdisciplinary projects and school-wide events.
- Participate in school-wide activities and events, such as cultural festivals, fairs, or themed weeks, to promote the arts within the school community.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to stay updated on new trends, teaching methods, and techniques in the art world.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Music or Fine Arts Education
- At least 1 year teaching experience, preferably in an international or national plus school
- Mastering English as a language of communication and language of instruction (IELTS min 4.5 or TOEFL PBT minimum 400)
- Understand the national curriculum or technology applications according to their field (sybellius, bandlab, art digital drawing)
