At Artisan Bali, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining the high standards of our kitchen. Your responsibilities will include overseeing daily operations, ensuring food safety protocols are followed, and supporting the head chef in menu development and recipe refinement. You will be involved in the preparation of a wide variety of dishes, from grilled specialties to beautifully decorated plates, ensuring each meal is not just delicious but also visually stunning. You will also assist in inventory management, training new staff, and contributing to the overall efficiency of the kitchen.
About the role
As a Jr Sous Chef at Artisan', you will play a crucial role in crafting exquisite culinary experiences for our guests. This full-time position is based in Badung Bali, where you will collaborate closely with the Executive Chef to oversee the day-to-day operations of our dynamic kitchen.
Basic Requirements
- Minimum 2–3 years experience in a professional kitchen
- Previous experience as CDP or strong Demi Chef ready to step up
- Solid understanding of service flow and section management
- Ability to work clean, organized, and fast during busy service
- Good knife skills and understanding of basic cooking techniques
- Experience with prep systems, stock rotation, and kitchen hygiene
- Strong communication and teamwork
- Able to lead junior staff during service
- Calm under pressure and solution-oriented mindset
- Passion for food, hospitality, and continuous improvement
- Willingness to follow systems and maintain high standards
- Flexible schedule and availability for evenings/weekends
- English communication preferred

- Experience with wood fire, grill, pasta, or Mediterranean cooking
- Strong plating and attention to detail
