Job description for IT Support Engineer at Confidential Company-GDI

IT Support

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintain and manage master data, including vendor and material data.
  • Ensure smooth business operations by supporting SAP, web, and mobile applications, including data entry, data extraction, and system support.
  • Provide end-user support for hardware (PC/Laptop), servers, networks, and IT infrastructure.
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve hardware, software, network, and application issues to minimize downtime.
  • Collaborate with the IT COE Data Team to support daily, weekly, and monthly reporting using Excel and Power BI.
  • Work closely with business users and cross-functional IT teams to identify, troubleshoot, and implement process improvements.
  • Support IT infrastructure maintenance and ensure system availability and reliability.
  • Provide on-call support for urgent infrastructure and operational issues when required.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2–3 years of experience in IT Support, Infrastructure, or System Administration.
  • Strong knowledge of:
  • Windows/Linux Server Administration
  • Networking (LAN/WAN, TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
  • VMware or other virtualization technologies
  • Microsoft SQL Server and MySQL (DDL & DML)
  • Microsoft Power Platform (Power BI, Power Automate)
  • SAP ERP
  • API and system integration concepts
  • Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Responsible, proactive, and service-oriented with a strong sense of ownership.
  • Able to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Willing to provide on-call support for critical infrastructure issues.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Good command of English, both written and spoken.
