Job Description

We are looking for an experienced IT Project Manager to lead and manage application development and implementation projects within the banking industry. The role is responsible for ensuring projects are delivered on time, within budget, and aligned with business and regulatory requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end IT application projects, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring, and closure.
  • Coordinate with business users, developers, QA, infrastructure, vendors, and stakeholders to ensure successful project delivery.
  • Gather and analyze business requirements related to banking applications and digital initiatives.
  • Create and maintain project documentation such as project plans, timelines, risk logs, status reports, and meeting minutes.
  • Monitor project scope, timeline, budget, and resource allocation to ensure project objectives are achieved.
  • Identify project risks and issues, and provide mitigation or resolution plans proactively.
  • Ensure compliance with banking regulations, security standards, and internal governance policies.
  • Facilitate UAT (User Acceptance Testing), system integration testing, and production deployment activities.
  • Manage vendor coordination and third-party implementation activities when required.
  • Conduct regular project status meetings and provide updates to management and stakeholders.
  • Support change management and post-implementation review activities.
  • Ensure proper communication between technical teams and business stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Requirements

  • Minimum Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience as an IT Project Manager or Project Coordinator in the banking industry.
  • Strong experience managing application development or system implementation projects.
  • Familiar with SDLC (Software Development Life Cycle), Agile, Scrum, and Waterfall methodologies.
  • Experience handling banking systems such as digital banking, core banking, mobile banking, internet banking, payment systems, or financial applications.
  • Strong understanding of project management processes, risk management, and stakeholder management.
  • Experience using project management tools such as JIRA, Trello, Microsoft Project, Confluence, or similar tools.
  • Good understanding of banking regulations, IT governance, and information security standards.
  • Strong communication, leadership, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
  • Able to manage multiple projects and work under tight deadlines.
  • Experience coordinating with cross-functional teams and external vendors.
  • PMP, PRINCE2, Scrum Master, or related certification is a plus.
  • Fluent in English, both written and verbal.
