Role Description The Business Analyst is a full-time, on-site role based in Jakarta. In this position, the Business Analyst will gather, analyze, and document business requirements, translating them into clear specifications for technical and business teams. The role involves mapping and improving business processes, performing data-driven analysis to support decision-making, and preparing reports and presentations for stakeholders. The Business Analyst will facilitate meetings and workshops, align project outcomes with business objectives, and collaborate with cross-functional teams throughout the project lifecycle. The role also includes monitoring solution implementation, validating results against requirements, and recommending enhancements to support digital transformation initiatives.
Qualifications
- Minimum Bachelor's degree, preferably in Information Systems, Informatics Engineering, Management, Industrial Engineering, or related fields
- 1–3 years of work experience as a Business Analyst or in a relevant role (System Analyst, Product Analyst, IT Business Analyst, etc.)
- Able to translate business processes into structured technical documentation by applying BPMN 2.0 concepts
- Understanding of system development methodologies (Agile/Scrum or Waterfall)
- Experienced in creating requirement documents such as BRD (Business Requirement Document), FRD (Functional Requirement Document), SRS (System Requirement Specification), use cases, and user stories
- Familiar with business process modeling and wireframing tools (e.g., Visio, Draw.io, Figma, Lucidchart, Bizagi)
- Strong analytical, logical, and problem-solving skills
- Good communication and coordination skills across cross-functional divisions (business, IT, QA, UI/UX)
- Basic understanding of SQL and databases is a plus
- Able to work with targets and within cross-functional teams
- Detail-oriented, thorough, and possesses strong documentation skills
Job Description
- Elicit business requirements from stakeholders through interviews, workshops, or observation
- Translate business needs into clear and measurable technical requirements
- Map existing (as-is) and proposed (to-be) business processes using BPMN 2.0 notation
- Identify gaps, inefficiencies, and business process improvement opportunities
- Prepare BRD, FRD, SRS documents, use case diagrams, user flows, and user stories
- Create simple wireframes/mockups to help communicate requirements to the development/UI-UX team
- Coordinate with development, QA, and UI/UX teams during system/application development
- Ensure the built solution aligns with the agreed-upon business needs and requirements
- Assist in the User Acceptance Test (UAT) process together with users/stakeholders
- Validate system development outcomes against the initial requirements
- Act as a liaison between business/users and the IT/development team
- Provide progress reports and status updates to stakeholders on ongoing projects
- Monitor and evaluate implemented systems/processes
- Provide ongoing improvement recommendations based on data and user feedback
