Job description for IoT Engineer Internship (Hardware) at Nawatech
What Will You Do
- Assist IoT hardware engineers in designing and developing electronic hardware and prototypes.
- Assist with schematic design, PCB layout, and design revisions using KiCad.
- Assist with component selection, BOM preparation, and electronic component evaluation.
- Assist in designing and testing power supply, battery, sensor, and communication circuits.
- Assist with PCB assembly, board bring-up, testing, and hardware validation.
- Perform measurements and basic troubleshooting using multimeters, oscilloscopes, and other electronic tools.
- Assist with mechanical CAD and 3D product design, including enclosures and mounting components using Autodesk Inventor and AutoCAD.
- Assist with prototype assembly, product testing, and field testing of IoT devices.
- Prepare and maintain hardware documentation, including schematics, BOM, test results, CAD drawings, and 3D models.
- Collaborate with hardware, firmware, software, and project teams during IoT product development.
What Will You Need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of analog and digital electronics and electronic components.
- Basic understanding of sensors, microcontrollers, and IoT devices.
- Familiarity with schematic and PCB design concepts; experience with KiCad is a plus.
- Familiarity with CAD/3D design; experience with Autodesk Inventor or AutoCAD is a plus.
- Familiarity with basic electronic measurement tools such as multimeters and oscilloscopes.
- Basic understanding of soldering, PCB assembly, and electronic prototyping.
- Basic troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Willingness to learn hardware design, PCB development, embedded systems, and IoT technologies.
- Good communication and teamwork skills.
- Strong attention to detail and willingness to work hands-on with electronic hardware.
Employment Status: Internship (3 - 6 Months)
