Job description for IoT Engineer Internship (Firmware/ Software) at Nawatech
What Will You Do
- Assist firmware engineers in developing, testing, and debugging firmware for IoT devices.
- Assist in MCU programming and development using platforms such as STM32 and ESP32.
- Assist in implementing and testing sensor interfaces and device communication.
- Assist in implementing IoT communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, and Modbus.
- Assist with device-to-cloud integration and IoT platform configuration.
- Perform firmware testing, debugging, troubleshooting, and validation.
- Assist in analyzing device logs, telemetry data, and communication issues.
- Assist with firmware deployment, device configuration, and field testing.
- Maintain firmware source code, configuration, and technical documentation.
- Collaborate with hardware, software, and solution teams during IoT product development.
What Will You Need
- Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of programming concepts and software development.
- Basic programming skills in C/C++ and Python.
- Familiarity with microcontrollers such as STM32 or ESP32 is a plus.
- Basic understanding of embedded systems and firmware development is a plus.
- Familiarity with communication protocols such as MQTT, HTTP/HTTPS, or Modbus is a plus.
- Familiarity with IoT platforms, cloud services, or Node-RED is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Git and software development workflows.
- Basic debugging and troubleshooting skills.
- Willingness to learn embedded systems, IoT, firmware, and software technologies.
- Good analytical, communication, and teamwork skills.
Employment Status: Internship (3 - 6 Months)
