Job description for Investment Operations Associate at Akrua Consulting

AKRUA Consulting is assisting one of our investment-sector clients in hiring an Investment Operations Administrator to support international securities trading operations.

This role is ideal for professionals who are highly detail-oriented, comfortable working with financial transaction data, and interested in gaining exposure to global capital markets. The successful candidate will work closely with traders, brokers, banking partners, and the client's internal team to ensure accurate and timely processing of investment transactions.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the operational processing of securities transactions across international markets, including equities and fixed-income instruments.
  • Review and verify trade confirmations received from traders, brokers, and banking counterparts.
  • Maintain accurate records of trade details, including security codes, counterparties, trade dates, and settlement dates.
  • Coordinate trade booking and settlement activities to ensure timely completion of transactions.
  • Monitor settlement progress and follow up with relevant parties on outstanding confirmations or discrepancies.
  • Maintain transaction trackers, operational reports, and supporting documentation.
  • Serve as a key coordination point between traders, brokers, banks, and the client's internal stakeholders.
  • Escalate operational issues and discrepancies when necessary.
  • Support various back-office and investment operations activities as required.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to work accurately with transactional data.
  • Fluent in both written and spoken English.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel and professional email communication.
  • Ability to learn and understand investment products, securities terminology, and capital market operations.
  • Prior experience in investment operations, banking operations, treasury operations, securities administration, fund administration, or financial services is preferred.
  • Experience working with brokers, custodians, trading platforms, or investment-related systems is an advantage.

Working Arrangement

  • Fully Remote
  • Monday–Friday
  • Working Hours: 15:00–23:00 WIB
  • Aligned with UK and US market operating hours
