Job description for Interior Designer at Medium Design Studio
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field.
- Proven experience as an Interior Designer with minimum of 1-2 years of experience, with a strong portfolio showcasing diverse projects.
- Proficiency in design software (e.g. AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
- Strong understanding of design principles, color theory, and spatial planning.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively.
- Creative mindset with attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Knowledge of building codes, regulations, and safety standards
Key Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, preferences, and objectives for interior spaces
- Develop design concepts, mood boards, and color schemes that align with client expectations.
- Create detailed floor plans, 3D renderings, and specifications for furniture, materials, and finishes.
- Source and select furnishings, fixtures, and decor items, ensuring quality and style.
- Coordinate with contractors, architects, and vendors to ensure seamless project execution.
- Manage multiple projects simultaneously, adhering to timelines and budgets.
- Present design proposals and revisions to clients, incorporating feedback effectively.
- Stay updated on design trends, materials, and technologies to ensure innovative and sustainable solutions
- Conduct site visits to oversee installation and ensure design integrity.
