Job description for Instructional Aides at Bandung Independent School
A family in Bandung Independent School is seeking an Instructional Aides to support their child in Grade 5 who benefits from attention and executive-function support. The role will focus on supporting the student’s learning engagement, organization, and classroom participation, particularly in Mathematics, Phonics, and Writing. The aides will assist the student in following instructions, maintaining focus during lessons, strengthening foundational literacy and numeracy skills, and completing academic tasks with appropriate scaffolding and guidance. Applications will be accepted from July 6–19.
Position: Instructional Aide
Location: Bandung Independent School
Working Hours: 7:45 A.M. – 3:45 P.M.
Starting date: August 10
Qualifications:
• Proficiency in English
• Background in Special Education, Psychology, or related fields preferred
• Experience supporting children with executive functioning challenges is an advantage
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively with students, teachers, and parents
Responsibilities:
• Support the child in and out of class to promote emotional regulation, engagement, and successful participation in a school setting
• Collaborate with the family, homeroom teacher, and Student Support Team to help achieve the student’s Individual Learning Plan goals
• Build a positive and trusting relationship with the student
• Provide regular updates to teachers, parents, and the Student Support Team
