As our In-House Midwife, you'll play a key role in leading clinical excellence, developing maternal health products, and becoming the trusted face of Mama First.
Job Responsibilities:
Clinical Care & Team Leadership
- Lead, mentor, and develop the Mama Care midwifery team.
- Develop and continuously improve clinical SOPs to ensure safe, empathetic, and high-quality maternal care.
- Conduct onboarding, training, and competency development for midwives.
- Provide teleconsultation services for mothers seeking trusted health guidance.
- Collect field insights and translate them into service improvements.
- Backup deliver Homecare services to support customers while validating new service experiences and innovations.
- Support urgent operational needs and maintain service excellence.
- Represent Mama First as a maternal health ambassador in events, partnerships, and public engagements.
Product Development & Innovation
- Initiate, build, and execute prenatal/postnatal program strategies with both short- and long-term impact (e.g. homecare services, class curriculum, recovery programs)
- Research maternal health trends and identify opportunities for new programs and services.
- Validate product ideas through user research and direct customer interactions.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Product, Operations, Community, Marketing, and Content.
Community & Education
- Manage and nurture the MamaCare Birth Club community, ensuring moms feel supported, seen, and guided throughout their journey
- Work closely with the community and content teams to co-create educational materials and health content (videos, IG Lives, classes, articles, etc.)
- Act as host, educator, and subject matter expert across Mama First content platforms
- Support on-the-ground research, community immersion, and outreach to understand mothers' evolving needs and spark relevant content and care campaigns
Qualifications:
- Registered Midwife (STR active).
- Minimum 2 years of clinical experience as a practicing midwife.
- Experience in maternal and newborn care.
- Strong communication and public speaking skills.
- Comfortable appearing on camera and speaking in public.
- Passionate about maternal education and community building.
- Strong leadership and project management skills.
- Able to collaborate across multiple teams and manage multiple initiatives.
- Experience developing healthcare programs or educational curricula is a plus.
- Additional certifications (Prenatal Yoga, Lactation Counselor, Newborn Care, etc.) are highly preferred.
