In-House Chinese Translator (Esports/Gaming)

Talon Esports Indonesia is seeking a proactive, outgoing and driven in-house Chinese Traslator to be an integral part of our competitive Honor of Kings team and engage in supporting the performance of our team through translation related activities. As an in-house Chinese Translator, you will focus on translating Chinese Mandarin and Bahasa Indonesia between and to our coaching staff and players. You will work closely with the performance team to ensure Talon's vision and values are consistently reflected across all competitive areas.

Facilitate Communication Between Head Coach and Players:

1. Accurately translate verbal and written communications from Chinese to Bahasa Indonesia and vice versa.

2. Assist the head coach in clearly conveying strategies, feedback, and instructions to players.

1. Help players express their thoughts, concerns, and needs effectively to the head coach.

2. Ensure players’ messages are communicated with cultural sensitivity and clarity.

1. Act as a linguistic and cultural bridge to foster understanding and collaboration between team members and management.

2. Assist with any additional translation needs during training, meetings, or events.

Language Proficiency: Fluency in Chinese and Bahasa Indonesia (verbal and written).

Experience: 2 to 4 years of professional translation experience, preferably in gaming or esports.

Knowledge of Esports: Familiarity with professional esports games, especially Mobile Legends or Honor of Kings, is highly desirable.

Soft Skills: Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with an ability to manage sensitive or nuanced situations effectively.

Adaptability: Able to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with flexibility to meet team needs.

Experience working directly with esports teams, coaches, or players.

Understanding of gaming terminology and strategies to ensure precise translations.
