Job description for Import Staff at PT Bantu Business Service
Responsibilities:
- Handle and coordinate import activities from overseas suppliers to Indonesia.
- Prepare and verify import documents, including invoices, packing lists, Bills of Lading/Air Waybills, and other required documents.
- Coordinate with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs brokers, shipping lines, and internal departments to ensure smooth import processes.
- Monitor shipment schedules, customs clearance, and delivery status.
- Ensure import activities comply with Indonesian customs regulations and applicable import procedures.
- Calculate and monitor import-related costs, including freight, customs duties, taxes, and other charges.
- Maintain accurate records of import documents, transactions, and shipment status.
- Follow up on issues related to customs clearance, shipment delays, documentation, or delivery.
- Prepare regular reports regarding import activities and shipment progress.
Requirements
- Minimum Bachelor’s Degree (S1) in International Business, Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Minimum 1–2 years of experience in import, export-import, logistics, or a related position.
- Good understanding of import procedures, customs regulations, and import documentation in Indonesia.
- Familiar with customs clearance processes and coordination with freight forwarders/customs brokers.
- Good communication and negotiation skills.
- Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple shipments simultaneously.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, especially Excel.
- Good command of English, both written and spoken.
- Mandarin proficiency is a plus.
