Job description for HR Officer at Geekhunter

Job Description

  • Manage the end-to-end employee lifecycle, including recruitment, selection, onboarding, and HR administration for teachers and educational support staff.
  • Maintain and oversee HR records, employment contracts, attendance, leave management, employee documentation, and other personnel administration processes.
  • Coordinate payroll administration, compensation, benefits, allowances, and incentive programs in collaboration with the finance team.
  • Develop and implement performance management systems, career development frameworks, talent management initiatives, and succession planning strategies.
  • Design, organize, and monitor training programs, professional development initiatives, certifications, coaching activities, and employee bonding or scholarship programs.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws, employment regulations, and internal school policies and procedures.
  • Manage employee relations matters, disciplinary processes, workplace issues, and employee grievance resolution.
  • Prepare HR reports, workforce analytics, and strategic insights to support management decision-making.
  • Foster a positive, productive, and values-driven workplace culture aligned with the school's vision and mission.
  • Act as the primary liaison between management and employees, supporting the implementation of HR policies, employee engagement programs, well-being initiatives, and retention strategies.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Psychology, Human Resource Management, Law, or a related field.
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in Human Resources, Human Capital, or a related function.
  • Strong understanding of recruitment processes, personnel administration, employee relations, and talent development practices.
  • Highly detail-oriented, organized, and capable of handling confidential information with discretion.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, coordination, and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Google Workspace and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Experience working in educational institutions, including schools and boarding schools, will be an advantage.
