Job description for HR Manager (F&B) at Talentport
JOB SUMMARY / JOB OVERVIEW:
We are seeking an independent and hands-on HR Manager to lead the setup and management of HR operations in Indonesia. This role will act as a strategic partner to the Singapore HQ, ensuring compliance with Indonesian labor laws while supporting business expansion in the F&B industry.
DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:
● Establish HR framework for Indonesia (policies, contracts, onboarding)
● Advise management on local labor laws, compliance, and risks
● Support entity setup (employment structure, payroll approach, benefits)
● Lead hiring for F&B operations (FOH, BOH, managers)
● Build talent pipeline for new outlets
● Set salary benchmarks aligned with local market
● Manage payroll coordination (cross-border alignment with Singapore)
● Oversee attendance, leave, and employee records
● Implement HR systems / processes (if needed)
● Ensure compliance with Indonesian manpower laws
● Handle disciplinary cases, terminations, and disputes
● Provide guidance on contracts, probation, and statutory benefits
● Benchmark salaries and benefits for Indonesia market
● Recommend cost-efficient structures for F&B workforce
● Align group policies with local requirements
● Support leadership with workforce analytics and insights
● Monitor labor cost, productivity, and hiring efficiency
● Provide strategic HR recommendations for expansion
QUALIFICATIONS:
● 7 years HR experience (must include F&B / retail / multi-outlet)
● Strong knowledge of Indonesian labor law (UU Ketenagakerjaan)
● Experience in setting up HR from scratch (very important)
● Able to work independently without local HR team
● Fluent in English (mandatory)
● Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
