Job Description
We are seeking a knowledgeable, engaging, and dedicated Secondary IGCSE History Teacher to provide one-on-one or small-group instruction for a secondary student at STC Senayan.
The teacher will deliver structured and engaging History lessons based on the Cambridge IGCSE curriculum, while helping the student develop strong historical knowledge, analytical thinking, essay-writing, source analysis, and examination skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Deliver IGCSE History lessons at STC Senayan.
- Develop individualized lesson plans based on the student's learning needs and academic goals.
- Teach key IGCSE History concepts, themes, and historical events.
- Develop students' historical analysis and critical-thinking skills.
- Provide guidance on source analysis, interpretation, and evaluation.
- Develop IGCSE essay-writing and examination techniques.
- Monitor and evaluate the student's academic progress.
- Provide regular feedback to the student and parents.
- Prepare progress reports and recommend appropriate learning strategies.
- Collaborate with parents and the academic team to achieve learning goals.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's Degree in History, Education, Social Studies, or a related field.
- Minimum 1 year of teaching or tutoring experience, preferably with secondary students.
- Experience teaching Cambridge IGCSE History is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of the IGCSE History curriculum and examination requirements.
- Strong knowledge of historical analysis, source evaluation, and essay writing.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, professional, and committed to student progress.
- Technology savvy and able to utilize digital learning resources when needed.
- Willing to conduct on-site teaching sessions at STC Senayan.
