You will be
As Head of Staff, you will partner with the CEO on the strategic and operational activities of building the largest insurtech platform in Asia. You will play a critical role in developing, prioritising, and executing team wide objectives, as well as communicating them with internal and external stakeholders. This will be a highly demanding role that will expose you to all aspects of PolicyPal’s business operations. It is an excellent opportunity for someone who aspires to be a founder or C-level executive at a high-growth startup one day. As the right hand to the CEO, you have to be flexible and evolve as company priorities change.
Responsibilities:
- Partner with the CEO and leadership team to build and maintain high functioning teams and cultures - both within the various leadership teams and throughout the company, with a focus on PolicyPal’s core values and mission
- Serve as a thought partner to the CEO on cross-functional operational and strategic topics including long-term vision, issues of execution, areas for operational improvement, brand, internal and external communications, and stakeholder management
- Collaborate with department leads to develop, track, and target team-wide key metrics across our quarterly operations reviews. Manage all planning sessions, and review meetings alongside the CEO
- Communicate context to leaders and teams within PolicyPal - often as an ambassador to the CEO - so that they are empowered to make good decisions and solve problems at their level, reducing information cycles or escalations to the leadership team when it can be avoided
- Use internal data and your own analytical skills to guide goal setting and tracking for your work streams and shared leadership initiatives
- Project-managing cross-team initiatives and prepare key presentations material for meetings
- Diligencing new opportunities and operationalising new areas of PolicyPal’s business
- Working closely with the CEO on all critical issues
Requirements:
- Entrepreneurial, scrappy
- Atypically versatile. Able to dive into many roles and do them well
- Have 5+ years of demonstrated success in a People manager, Operations, Founder, or Strategy-related role
- Are highly detail-oriented with excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal skills
- Excellent presentation skills - capable of developing and delivering compelling presentations, and running efficient and productive meetings
- Process-oriented thinking with strong problem-solving skills and a creative mind that loves to solve challenges
- Demonstrated ability to be resourceful in the face of obstacles, proactive problem solver
- Possess strong operational and strategy experience, preferably at a fast-growing company
- Have a demonstrated ability to drive business insights and operational improvement in a collaborative, cross-functional environment
- Have the ability to drive initiatives with minimal structure and be influential within the organization to garner internal support for initiatives
