Head Chef
We are seeking a Chef seeking to be responsible for providing supportive leadership to kitchen staff throughout our food service.
Duties
1. Monitoring kitchen activities, expediting orders to ensure quality taste or presentation and taking on additional responsibilities as the Head Chef to ensure that kitchen staff has proper direction.
2. Oversee food preparation and cooking in our resorts restaurants
3. Responsible for the hiring and training of new kitchen staff.
4. Preparing meals and food to meet the specifications of guests in a timely manner
5.Properly measuring kitchen ingredients and food portions
6.Ensuring kitchen staff adhere to set standards, procedures, department rules and sanitation requirements
7.Using kitchen knives and equipment such as grills, ovens, steamers and warmers in food preparation
8.Managing the kitchen inventory and ensuring supplies are fresh and of high quality
9. Ensuring proper food temperatures when cooking and proper storage.
10. Keeping the workstation and kitchen equipment clean, organized and sanitized
11. Taking charge of kitchen opening, closing and other side duties
Requirements
Min 3 years Sous Chef experience
D3 in Cookery
Remuneration
