WE'RE HIRING

Head Chef

Suluban, Uluwatu — Bali

Join EMBR — a wood-fired kitchen above the cliffs, cooking with real fire and real produce.

We're looking for a Head Chef who loves running a great kitchen—someone who is organised, hands-on, and genuinely passionate about food.

Wood-fire or open-flame experience is a strong advantage, but above all, we're looking for someone who takes pride in their kitchen, their team, and maintaining exceptional standards.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR

* Proven experience as a Head Chef

* Background in grill, wood-fire, or fine dining kitchens

* Comfortable cooking over wood fire and open flame

* Solid understanding of food safety and HACCP standards

* A genuine passion for food, quality produce, and flavour

* Naturally organised—a clean, efficient kitchen is second nature

* A calm and inspiring leader who brings out the best in the team

* Strong knowledge of food costing, inventory management, and purchasing

* Menu development experience is an advantage, but not essential

WHAT YOU'LL DO

* Manage the kitchen's daily operations from preparation through service

* Execute the wood-fire and grill menu to consistently high standards

* Maintain a clean, organised, and well-stocked kitchen

* Control stock levels, purchasing, and food costs

* Recruit, train, and mentor the kitchen team

* Conduct daily briefings and quality control checks

* Collaborate closely with the Restaurant Manager and Front of House team

* Monitor food waste and ensure kitchen equipment is properly maintained

* Uphold hygiene, food safety, HACCP, and SOP standards throughout service

* Deliver an exceptional dining experience that keeps guests coming back
