Head Barista & Beverage
Juju Garden Café is seeking a dedicated, creative, and passionate Head Barista & Beverage to lead all beverage operations. This role is responsible for ensuring every beverage, including coffee, non-coffee, tea, and signature drinks, is prepared and served with exceptional quality, consistency, creativity, and presentation. The Head Barista & Beverage will also be responsible for developing innovative beverage menus, leading and mentoring the barista team, managing inventory and beverage costs, and maintaining the highest standards of hygiene, sanitation, and food safety. Working closely with the management and operations team, the Head Barista & Beverage will play a key role in delivering an outstanding customer experience while upholding the identity and quality standards of Juju Garden Café.
Head Barista & Beverage Responsibilities
1. Beverage Operations Management
> Manage and oversee all daily beverage operations to ensure smooth and efficient workflow.
2. Beverage Quality Control (QC)
> Ensure every beverage is prepared and served with the highest standards of quality, taste, consistency, and presentation in accordance with Juju Garden Café standards.
3. Beverage Menu Development
> Develop and evaluate beverage menus and recipes based on market trends, customer preferences, and sales performance.
4. Beverage Cost Management
> Manage beverage cost, control inventory, and minimize waste while maintaining product quality.
5. Team Leadership
> Lead, train, evaluate, and develop the barista team, including preparing staff work schedules (rostering).
6. Food Safety & Compliance
> Ensure the implementation of hygiene standards, food safety regulations, HACCP/CHSE, workplace health and safety (OHS), and compliance with operational SOPs.
7. Inventory & Purchasing
> Order beverage ingredients and supplies from suppliers and conduct regular inventory control to ensure adequate stock levels.
Qualifications
1. Minimum 3–5 years of experience as a Head Barista, Senior Barista, or Beverage Supervisor, or 5–7 years of experience in the F&B industry, preferably in cafés, hotels, restaurants, or hospitality-standard establishments.
2. Minimum education: High School/Vocational High School or Diploma in Hospitality, Food & Beverage, Culinary Arts, or a related field.
3. Strong leadership skills with proven experience in leading, training, and developing barista teams.
4. Solid understanding of beverage operations, inventory management, beverage cost control, waste management, and beverage SOP implementation.
5. Strong expertise in coffee brewing, espresso extraction, latte art, and beverage development, with the creativity to develop innovative beverage menus.
6. Excellent communication, coordination, and problem-solving skills, with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
7. Disciplined, detail-oriented, responsible, able to work under pressure, and results-driven.
8. Certification in Barista Skills, Coffee Brewing, Food Safety, HACCP, or related professional certifications is an advantage. Willing to be based in Lippo Cikarang, Bekasi.
