Job Description
As the Head Bar, you will be the heartbeat of our beverage program. You will be responsible for the quality of every drink served, help design our beverage menu, manage operational costs, and build a disciplined, motivated bar team. We are looking for someone who understands the agility and flexibility needed to thrive in an independent restaurant.
Key Responsibilities
- Operational Management : Lead daily bar operations hands-on and keep service smooth during peak hours
- Menu Development : Design, test, and launch signature drinks and seasonal menus that fit our concept and brand
- Quality & Hygiene : Ensure consistent taste, portioning, and presentation, while maintaining strict sanitation standards
- Cost Management : Manage inventory, minimize wastage, and negotiate with suppliers to keep beverage costs optimal without compromising quality
- Team Leadership : Recruit, train, mentor, and schedule bar staff (Bartenders, Baristas, Bar Helpers) and foster a positive team culture
Requirements & Qualifications
- Mandatory: Minimum 3 years of experience as Head Barista / Head Bartender in an independent restaurant, café
- Strong expertise in craft coffee, smoothies & refreshment drinks, with a proven track record of successful beverage menus
- Solid understanding of beverage cost, pour cost, and bar budgeting
- Understands the dynamics and challenges of growing a standalone restaurant business
- A firm yet supportive leader who delegates well and performs under pressure
- Creative, up-to-date with F&B trends, and committed to high quality standards
