Role Description
This is a full-time on-site position for a Head Bakery Chef based in Central Jakarta. The Head Bakery Chef will oversee daily operations of the bakery, ensuring high-quality production of baked goods, including bread and pastries. Responsibilities include managing the baking process, developing new recipes, overseeing kitchen staff, maintaining cleanliness and sanitation, and ensuring adherence to food safety standards. The role also involves creating innovative menus and ensuring timely delivery of products while maintaining consistency and quality.
Qualifications
* More than 10 years experience in professional baking
* More than 5 years in a supervisory or head baker role
* Experience in high-volume production, artisan bakery, hotel, or restaurant bakery
* Able to develop and standardize recipes
* Proficiency in bakery and pastry, with expertise in crafting various baked goods
* Experience in Food Preparation, particularly for bakery and pastry
* Able to develop and manage recipes for innovative and high-quality products
* Strong organizational and leadership skills to oversee a team effectively
* Knowledge of food safety standards and best practices
* Previous experience in a commercial bakery or high volume food production is a plus
* Inventory management and ordering
* Cost control and waste reduction
* Menu planning and product development
* Knowledge of food costing and margin control
* Ability to meet production targets and deadlines
* Must be able to work in Menteng area, Central Jakarta
