About the role
Xingle Mandarin is looking for a passionate, patient, and dedicated Mandarin Teacher to join our growing team in Serpong, Tangerang.
This role primarily focuses on teaching children from preschool to primary school level in a small-group learning environment.
As a Mandarin Teacher at Xingle Mandarin, you will help children build strong Mandarin foundations in listening, speaking, reading, and writing, while developing their confidence and enjoyment in learning the language.
Our classes are designed to be interactive, structured, and engaging, with small class sizes (up to 3 students / class) that allow teachers to understand and support each student individually.
This is a full-time, on-site position for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children and is looking to grow as an educator for the long term.
What you'll be doing
- Prepare and deliver fun, interactive, and structured Mandarin lessons based on Xingle Mandarin's curriculum and teaching approach.
- Teach Mandarin skills including listening, speaking, reading, and writing, adapted to students' ages and learning levels.
- Use games, storytelling, songs, visuals, activities, and other creative teaching methods to keep children engaged.
- Manage classroom dynamics and create a positive, safe, and encouraging learning environment.
- Observe and monitor each student's progress, learning challenges, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain student assessments, learning records, and progress reports accurately.
- Communicate student development and classroom observations clearly with the academic and internal team.
- Collaborate with fellow teachers and the academic team to continuously improve teaching methods, activities, and learning materials.
What we're looking for
Core Requirements:
- Strong proficiency in Mandarin, both spoken and written
- Comfortable communicating and teaching primarily in Mandarin
- Genuine interest in teaching and working with children
- Patient, responsible, communicative, and able to build positive relationships with students
- Able to manage children with different personalities, learning speeds, and levels of confidence
- Open to feedback and willing to continuously learn and improve as an educator
- Able to work full-time and on-site in Gading Serpong, Tangerang
- Able to work effectively as part of a teaching and academic team
Highly Desirable:
- Bachelor's degree in Mandarin, Chinese Studies, Education, Early Childhood Education, or a related field
- Previous experience teaching Mandarin
- Experience teaching preschool or primary school children
- HSK certification or other relevant Mandarin proficiency certification
- Familiarity with early childhood, primary education, or child-development approaches
- Experience using interactive, creative, or play-based teaching methods
Previous teaching experience is an advantage, but we are also open to high-potential candidates with strong Mandarin skills and the right attitude toward teaching children.
Candidates with strong Mandarin proficiency and high potential but limited teaching experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered for our Assistant Mandarin Teacher pathway, with opportunities to develop toward a Mandarin Teacher role.
Your starting role as a Mandarin Teacher or Assistant Mandarin Teacher will be determined based on your Mandarin proficiency, teaching readiness, experience, and overall fit during our selection process.
