We are looking for cheerful, caring, and responsible teachers who enjoy working with young children. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
This is a full-time, on-site position. All classes are conducted face-to-face at our learning centre in Gading Serpong, Tangerang, from Monday to Friday.
About the Role
As a teacher at Babo Baca Tulis, you will teach foundational English, phonics, reading, writing, and elementary Mathematics to young learners (aged 4 - 8) in small-group classes (2 - 3 students).
You don't need to speak English like a native. However, you should be comfortable using English in the classroom and able to explain basic English and Mathematics lessons clearly. For this position a positive attitude and a genuine willingness to work patiently with children are just as important as academic ability. We are looking for someone who can make children feel safe, comfortable, and motivated to learn while consistently following the teaching materials and SOP provided by Babo.
In this role, you will:
- Explain lessons clearly and patiently according to each child’s learning ability.
- Use simple and appropriate English instructions during lessons.
- Create a cheerful, safe, positive, and well-managed classroom environment.
- Build positive relationships with students, provide additional guidance when needed, and encourage confident participation.
- Study and prepare the assigned teaching materials before each class, check students’ worksheets carefully, and complete daily student reports.
- Communicate with coordinator regarding students' progress, behaviour, and learning needs.
- Participate in training, evaluations, meetings, and other learning-centre activities.
- Follow the curriculum, class schedule, teaching procedures, and company SOP consistently.
- Maintain a professional, polite, and respectful attitude toward students, parents, and team members.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree with a degree in Education, English Literature, Science, Mathematics, or a related field are preferred.
- Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
- Able to teach foundational English, phonics, reading, writing, and elementary Mathematics.
- Comfortable communicating and giving classroom instructions in English.
- Has a good basic understanding of English and Mathematics.
- Enjoys working with young children and understands that teaching children requires patience, care, and active guidance.
- Cheerful, friendly, polite, patient, and attentive to children's needs.
- Willing to study and prepare teaching materials before class.
- Open to feedback, evaluation, and continuous learning.
- Willing and able to follow the provided curriculum, teaching procedures, and company SOP.
- Honest, disciplined, responsible, punctual, and able to work well in a team.
- Previous experience teaching or working with children is an advantage, but not required.
- Willing to work full-time and on-site in Gading Serpong, Tangerang.
