- Manage reservations and walk-in guests, maintaining an organized seating chart
- Escort guests to their tables and present menus
- Coordinate with servers and kitchen staff to manage table turnover and wait times
- Answer phone calls to take reservations and answer guest inquiries
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the entrance/waiting area
- Manage waitlists during peak hours and provide accurate wait time estimates
- Handle guest complaints or concerns politely, escalating to a manager when necessary
- Bid farewell to guests as they leave, ensuring a positive last impression
- Assist with basic administrative tasks (e.g., recording guest counts, updating reservation systems)
- Maintain knowledge of the menu, promotions, and daily specials
