Job description for Graphic Designer (Packaging) at Alamii Food
We are seeking a talented and versatile In-House Packaging Designer to join our creative team. This role will primarily focus on packaging design—crafting compelling, innovative, and functional packaging for our products, as well as updating and revising our current product packaging to maintain brand consistency. Additionally, this position will also involve creating visual assets for marketing across digital and print media, ensuring cohesive and impactful brand representation.
The ideal candidate will have a strong eye for detail, the ability to work efficiently under deadlines, and experience in consumer packaging design, with a background or interest in marketing design.
Key Responsibilities
Packaging Design
- Develop and design innovative packaging solutions for new products, ensuring alignment with the brand’s vision and target audience.
- Update and revise existing packaging to keep it current, maintain brand consistency, and incorporate feedback from internal teams.
- Collaborate with product development, production, and supply chain teams to ensure designs are functional, cost-effective, and meet manufacturing requirements.
- Create and prepare print-ready files with accurate specifications, die lines, and technical requirements for production.
- Conduct research on current packaging trends and competitor packaging to ensure the company’s products remain competitive and relevant.
Marketing Design
- Design and develop marketing collateral, including but not limited to: brochures, digital ads, social media visuals, email templates, in-store displays, and website graphics.
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create engaging visuals that drive brand awareness and customer engagement.
- Ensure brand consistency across all marketing materials and packaging.
- Contribute to creative brainstorming sessions for campaigns and product launches.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Industrial Design, Packaging Design, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in packaging design, ideally within a consumer goods or retail environment.
- Proficiency in design software, including Adobe Creative Suite (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) and experience with 3D rendering tools (e.g., Sketchup) is a plus.
- Strong understanding of printing processes, materials, and manufacturing constraints.
- Ability to work with dielines, prepare files for print, and communicate effectively with production vendors.
- Creative problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail, color, typography, and layout.
- Experience in marketing design, with a portfolio showcasing both packaging and marketing projects.
