We are looking for a Graphic Designer & Illustrator who enjoys turning ideas into illustrations, patterns, and designs for physical products.
You will work across two brands with different audiences and design needs:
- Kidelab: Personalized children’s souvenirs and gifts. Most projects involve adapting illustrations, themes, names, colors, and patterns to our existing product range.
- RUMA.Craftlab: Custom corporate merchandise and gifts. Projects involve translating a client’s brand, campaign, or gifting brief into coordinated product visuals, with concept exploration and revisions before production.
This role combines original creative work with detailed customization. Your designs will appear on products such as bags, pouches, accessories, gift sets, and packaging, supported by selected digital marketing materials.
What You Will Do
1. Create original illustrations and product graphics
- Develop illustrations, motifs, repeat patterns, typography, and color combinations for products and collections.
- Create playful, age-appropriate visuals for Kidelab and adapt your style to different corporate identities for RUMA.Craftlab.
- Apply artwork thoughtfully to each product’s shape, dimensions, and printable area.
- Develop coordinated visuals across products, packaging, gift tags, and cards.
2. Translate customer briefs into clear design proposals
- Work with the sales/admin team to understand the customer’s theme, audience, personalization details, and brand requirements.
- Prepare mood boards, artwork options, and product mockups that help customers understand the proposed design.
- For corporate projects, contribute visual concepts during the proposal stage and refine them based on consolidated feedback.
- Communicate missing information or unclear requests before proceeding.
3. Manage customization and revisions accurately
- Adapt approved artwork into different names, colors, sizes, and product variations.
- Check spelling, customer names, logo placement, proportions, and consistency across each order.
- Track revisions and clearly distinguish proposed designs from approved production files.
- Balance new illustration work with recurring customization tasks and order deadlines.
4. Prepare artwork for production
- Deliver organized, editable files according to the production team’s or vendor’s specifications.
- Check dimensions, resolution, color settings, bleed, safe areas, and fonts where applicable.
- Coordinate artwork placement with supplied product templates, including seams, folds, zippers, and other construction details.
- Work with the operations/production team to review samples and adjust artwork when needed.
- Flag details that may be difficult to reproduce through printing, embroidery, or other production methods.
5. Support brand and sales visuals
- Create selected catalog layouts, product presentation sheets, website or marketplace banners, and social media graphics.
- Keep visuals consistent with each brand’s identity and the approved product design.
- Maintain an organized archive of artwork, templates, mockups, and final files for repeat orders.
