General Manager (Retail Industry)

Job Description

• Lead and oversee the company's overall operations to ensure business objectives are achieved.
• Develop and execute strategic business plans to drive sustainable business growth.
• Oversee recruitment, employee development, training, and managerial coaching initiatives.
• Manage and monitor operational budgets, including production, marketing, inventory, equipment, and other operational expenses.
• Guide and mentor department heads and managers to achieve organizational goals.
• Evaluate and improve the efficiency and performance of all business divisions.
• Communicate strategic directives from executives to management teams and provide regular performance reports to executive leadership.
• Oversee sales and marketing strategies to maximize business performance and revenue growth.
• Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and operational standards.
• Collaborate closely with executives and department managers to execute the company's business strategy.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Business, Management, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred.
• Minimum 3 years of experience as a General Manager, Operations Manager, Business Manager, or in a similar leadership role.
• Proven experience in the retail industry is required; experience in the optical retail industry is highly preferred.
• Experience managing multi-store operations and leading cross-functional teams.
• Strong understanding of budgeting, financial planning, KPI management, business analysis, and operational performance.
• Proven ability to develop and execute strategies that improve sales performance and operational efficiency.
• Excellent leadership, communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills.
• Willing to travel to company branches as required.
