YYT Games works with video game developers around the world to cook up innovative video games with the heart of beloved classics. We created the Fallen Legion series, the first console video games for PlayStation and Nintendo developed in Indonesia. Our games unite Hollywood talent, creative worlds, and international publishers.
What you’ll do
- Work with a fully remote team of experienced game designers, programmers, artists and producers to create a video game
- Conceptualize and develop game mechanics and gameplay systems
- Create game design documents that outline the game's scenario, characters, rules, and objectives
- Design and prototype levels, usable player items, and battles
- Bring game design ideas, characters, enemies, and levels to life using developer tools
- Balance the game difficulty, player actions, rewards, and progression to engage players
- Conduct playtesting and implement player feedback to improve the game design
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and advancements in game design technology.
We’re looking for a team member who is
- Proficient in English and Indonesian
- Self-directed and a natural problem solver
- Has experience designing game systems either through internships, personal projects, or professional experience
- Can collaborate effectively with a remote team
- Strong knowledge of the Unity game engines
- A deep understanding of game mechanics, gameplay progression, and level design.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other designer, programmers, artists, and producer
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Excellent time management skills
- Passionate about making an exceptional game.
Bonus points if you
- Have created user generated content (UGC) or a gameplay mod for an existing game
- Have developed combat mechanics for an action video game
- Are experienced using visual scripting tools to create a finite state machine (FSM) or behavior tree
- Have experience with programming languages such as C++, C#, or Java
- Have experience completing a video game
