About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Fullstack Software Engineer to join our growing technology team and help build intelligent, AI-powered products that transform the future of education. In this role, you will work closely with the CTO and cross-functional teams to develop scalable applications, drive innovation, and contribute to the evolution of AI-enhanced learning solutions used by students across Southeast Asia and beyond.
This position is ideal for engineers who thrive in fast-paced startup environments, enjoy taking ownership of products end-to-end, and are excited about leveraging AI technologies to solve real-world problems.
Responsibilities
* Collaborate directly with the CTO to build and enhance AI-powered educational products.
* Support the development and execution of the application roadmap, including feature planning, technical research, prioritization, and implementation.
* Take ownership of the full software development lifecycle, from ideation through deployment and maintenance.
* Develop scalable, maintainable, and high-performance backend and frontend applications.
* Design and implement AI-enhanced platform features and integrations.
* Build clean, testable, and well-documented code following engineering best practices.
* Develop analytics solutions, reporting tools, and data pipelines to support business and product insights.
* Design intuitive user experiences for both web and mobile applications.
* Research emerging technologies and contribute to continuous product and platform innovation.
* Work closely with cross-functional stakeholders to deliver impactful solutions aligned with business objectives.
Minimum Requirements
* Minimum 3 years of experience as a Fullstack Software Engineer.
* Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, Express.js, and modern frontend frameworks such as React.js, Vue.js, or similar.
* Experience building and maintaining scalable web applications in production environments.
* Strong knowledge of MongoDB or similar database technologies.
* Solid understanding of software development lifecycle methodologies and best practices.
* Experience using Git for version control and collaborative development.
* Strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
* Excellent communication skills in English, both written and verbal.
* Ability to work independently in a remote and cross-functional environment.
* Experience working in fast-paced startup or high-growth environments.
* Comfortable managing projects from concept through deployment.
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience integrating AI/ML technologies, LLM APIs, or AI-driven features into web applications.
* Familiarity with OpenAI, Hugging Face, LangChain, or similar technologies.
* Experience working alongside data scientists or machine learning engineers.
* Previous experience as a freelancer or contractor delivering customized software solutions.
* Experience working directly with founders, product leaders, or executive stakeholders.
* Background in B2B SaaS companies, software houses, agencies, or technology consultancies.
* Passion for building globally competitive technology products from Southeast Asia.
