Job description for Fullstack Developer (Ruby on Rails) at AION GROUP INTERNATIONAL
We are looking for a highly skilled Full‑Stack Developer with strong expertise in Ruby on Rails (primary) and hands‑on experience in building scalable backend services, modern web applications, and AI‑powered features.
This role is ideal for developers who enjoy solving complex problems, designing clean architectures, and working on high‑impact digital products in an international environment.
You will contribute to various systems including internal tools, AI‑enhanced learning platforms, operational dashboards, and customer‑facing applications.
Key Responsibilities
- Backend Development (Ruby on Rails – Primary)
- Develop and maintain backend services using Ruby on Rails as the main framework.
- Build clean, well‑structured REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Work on authentication, authorization, background jobs, and performance optimization.
- Implement integrations with third‑party services (payment, identity, analytics, messaging, etc.).
- Ensure high code quality, testing coverage, and secure architecture.
Secondary Backend (Python – Nice to Have)
- Build AI‑powered backend features using FastAPI/Django (optional).
- Integrate LLMs (OpenAI, Gemini, Claude), embeddings, or RAG pipelines.
- Develop automation scripts, data pipelines, or AI‑enabled modules when needed.
Frontend Development (Bonus)
- Build responsive web interfaces (Angular/React/Next.js).
- Integrate frontend with APIs and real‑time data sources.
AI & Automation (Bonus)
- Implement AI‑driven features for recommendation systems, chat modules, text analysis, or workflow automation.
- Build pipelines using Python for NLP/RAG/automation.
DevOps / Cloud
- Deploy applications on AWS/GCP/DigitalOcean.
- Work with CI/CD pipelines (GitHub Actions, GitLab CI).
- Optimize reliability, performance, and observability.
Requirements
Must‑Have
- 3+ years experience with Ruby on Rails (core requirement).
- Deep understanding of MVC, service objects, background jobs (Sidekiq/Resque), and ActiveRecord.
- Strong experience building and consuming REST/GraphQL APIs.
- Solid database knowledge (PostgreSQL/MySQL).
- Ability to work independently and collaborate remotely with an international team.
- Good written and spoken English.
Nice‑to‑Have
- Python backend experience (FastAPI/Django).
- Basic AI/LLM integration knowledge (OpenAI, embeddings, Pinecone, RAG).
- Experience with Angular, React, or Next.js.
- Familiarity with Docker, cloud deployments, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Experience building LMS, HR tools, or internal enterprise systems.
