Job description for Full Stack Engineer at Megrez

Overview
You’ll be working with bioengineers to develop interfaces for their products. These vary in range from phone/tablet apps to GUIs, desktop applications, and web apps. You will also be working with firmware engineers to connect said products (e.g., sensors) and collect/process data on the backend.
You’ll also be working with a large number of new software algorithms and technologies on the backend - for instance, some of our sensors feed into predictive models. As such, backend development will need to incorporate nonstandard algorithms to process input data and generate outputs (the models will be provided; you are not expected to develop models of your own).
We’ll also be ensuring that software standards meet clinical and industry requirements e.g., in terms of data protection and transfer, as well as visibility. As such, this role involves robust documentation, encryption knowledge and writing technical documents.
We acknowledge that Megrez is a new company and we will all learn together. This is a hybrid role, with work-from-home, office and online meetings, you will really only be expected to meet clients once in a while to view prototypes.

Roles & Responsibilities
Define scope, timeline and complexity of projects alongside clients and internal team. Evaluate viability of proposed software design to ensure it is executable.
Training in full-stack software engineering or software development. Please provide a portfolio/Github. Must have robust documentation.
Willingness to learn to work with ML models.
Design software system architecture based on provided design specifications.
Develop/implement scalable apps, web services, APIs based on designs and client requirements
Write documentation, technical documents.

What You'll Need
Training in software engineering or software development
Previous experience as a full-stack engineer
Proficient in front-end languages and frameworks such as HTML5, CSS, JavaScript and at least one of the major frontend frameworks (React, Angular, Vue).
Experience in Unit and End to End testing using packages such as Jest, Cypress or Selenium
Proficient in back-end languages such as embedded C, Java, Python.
Familiar with application development languages such as React Native, Kotlin or Swift
Knowledge of database systems, use of ORMs, NoSQL and SQL
English proficiency is a must

Nice to Have
2+ years of experience. Salary will be based on experience.
Experience in the healthcare field is a plus.
Rails, Ruby, .NET, PHP.
Familiarity in working with ML
Familiarity with no-code platforms e.g. Flutter
Experience in Dev Ops and worked with Automated Pipelines, load balancing, etc. Jenkins, Bitbucket Pipelines or other CI/CD tools.
Encryption knowledge. Preferably worked with AES 256 on healthcare related data management
