Job description for Full Stack AI Assisted Development (Mentor) at IT STEP Academy
Job Responsibilities:
- Teach full-stack web development using modern AI-assisted workflows such as Cursor, Claude Code, and Copilot.
- Ensure students apply MVC patterns and Separation of Responsibilities to maintain well-structured AI-generated code.
- Guide students through the entire product lifecycle, from prompt engineering and Git versioning to final deployment.
- Evaluate AI-generated code, provide technical feedback, and teach effective debugging and refactoring techniques.
- Support students in building portfolio projects and understanding real-world industry use cases.
- Monitor student progress and conduct technical assessments throughout the program.
- Educate students on validating AI outputs to prevent code hallucinations and maintain data security.
Job Requirements:
- 3+ years of experience as a Full-Stack Developer or Software Engineer.
- Strong experience in modern web development, including front-end, back-end, APIs, and databases using contemporary stacks such as JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, or similar technologies.
- Willingness to adapt to specific tools and frameworks based on the Vibe Coding curriculum.
- Teaching or mentoring experience is a plus.
- High dedication to the intensive program schedule and student success.
- Ability to simplify complex technical concepts for beginner-level students.
- Able to teach online when needed.
