Position Summary
The Front Desk Agent is responsible for providing exceptional guest service by handling guest arrivals, departures, reservations, and inquiries efficiently and professionally. As the first point of contact for guests, the Front Desk Agent plays a key role in creating a positive and memorable guest experience while representing the hotel's standards and values.
Key Responsibilities
Welcome guests warmly and professionally upon arrival.
Perform guest check-in and check-out procedures accurately and efficiently.
Handle room reservations, modifications, and cancellations.
Provide information about hotel facilities, services, and local attractions.
Respond promptly and professionally to guest inquiries, requests, and complaints.
Ensure guest registration information is complete and accurate.
Process payments and maintain accurate cashiering records.
Coordinate with Housekeeping, Engineering, and other departments to ensure guest satisfaction.
Monitor room availability and occupancy status.
Maintain guest confidentiality and protect personal information.
Handle telephone calls, emails, and other guest communications professionally.
Prepare daily reports and maintain Front Office records.
Assist with upselling room categories and hotel services to maximize revenue.
Follow hotel policies, procedures, and service standards at all times.
Attend daily briefings and departmental meetings as required.
Qualifications
Minimum Diploma or Bachelor's Degree in Hospitality, Tourism, or a related field.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a Front Office position; fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
Good command of written and spoken English.
Familiarity with hotel property management systems (PMS) is an advantage.
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills.
Well-groomed appearance and professional attitude.
Ability to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
