Freelance Production Assistant

You will play a critical role in ensuring smooth operations across all phases of the production process, from pre-production to post-production. You will be responsible for managing logistics, assisting with production plans, and liaising with various production teams.

Responsibilities:

- Team liaison: Act as the primary point of contact between all production teams, ensuring effective communication and coordination.

- Pre-production management: Oversee the pre-production process, ensure all necessary preparations are completed timely and efficiently, and work closely with the production manager or director to draft, finalize, and adhere to production schedules.

- Talent management: Hunt for, audition, and hire suitable talents as per the needs of the production, and liaise with talents regarding schedules, requirements, and other necessary details.

- Props and wardrobe: Responsible for hunting, purchasing, or sourcing necessary props and wardrobes in line with the production's thematic and visual requirements, and ensuring props and wardrobe are well-maintained, organized, and readily available for shoots.

- Location scouting: Actively search for, inspect, and secure appropriate shooting locations, considering logistical and aesthetic aspects, and handle any permissions or documentation required for location shoots.

- Voice-over coordination: Assist the production team in providing voice-over work for video content, ensure high-quality audio matches video needs, and serve as the main contact between voice-over artists and the production team, handling schedules, rehearsals, and feedback loops.

- On-set assistance: Offer hands-on support during shoots, assisting with equipment setups, managing talents, and ensuring a smooth shooting environment, and assist with post-shoot wrap-ups, ensuring equipment is stored safely and all production materials are accounted for.

Qualifications:

- Familiarity with video production workflows and post-production processes.

- Previous experience in a digital video production environment, such as web series, YouTube channels, or digital commercials, is advantageous.

- Previous experience in food video production is highly valued.

- Experience or capability to contact, hire, manage, coordinate, and liaise with talents such as actors, voice-over artists, and influencers.

- Strong communication, management, adaptability, and teamwork skills.
