Job Description
We are looking for a Freelance English Language Teacher to provide engaging and practical English lessons for teenage and adult learners in Indonesia.
The teacher will help students improve their English communication skills, with lessons tailored to their current proficiency, learning goals, and practical needs.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct English lessons for teenagers and adults.
- Develop and deliver engaging lesson plans and learning materials.
- Focus on practical English communication, including speaking, listening, reading, and writing.
- Adapt teaching methods according to students' English levels and learning objectives.
- Encourage students to actively participate and build confidence in using English.
- Provide constructive feedback on students' progress.
- Track student development and recommend areas for improvement.
- Conduct lessons professionally and maintain a positive learning environment.
Requirements
- Strong command of spoken and written English.
- Previous experience teaching English is preferred.
- Experience teaching teenagers and/or adults is an advantage.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Patient, engaging, and able to adapt to different learning styles.
- Able to conduct lessons independently with minimal supervision.
- Teaching certification such as TEFL, TESOL, or CELTA is an advantage but not mandatory.
- Comfortable teaching online and/or face-to-face.
Compensation
- Freelance, paid on a per-class or hourly basis.
- Rate to be discussed based on experience and qualifications.
