About the Role
Mates Coffee Jakarta is looking for a passionate, responsible, and experienced Barista Supervisor to lead our bar team and ensure excellent coffee quality, smooth daily operations, and outstanding customer experiences.
The ideal candidate has strong coffee knowledge, leadership skills, and the ability to motivate the team while maintaining high standards of service, cleanliness, and operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
* Supervise and coordinate daily bar operations to ensure smooth and efficient service.
* Lead, train, and develop baristas to maintain consistent beverage quality and service standards.
* Ensure all coffee and beverage recipes are followed according to company standards.
* Monitor stock levels, manage inventory, and minimize waste.
* Maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and equipment maintenance standards.
* Handle customer feedback and resolve service issues professionally.
* Monitor team attendance, discipline, productivity, and performance.
* Ensure proper opening and closing procedures are followed.
* Collaborate with the Store Manager to achieve sales targets and improve operational performance.
* Support new beverage development and contribute ideas to improve the customer experience.
Requirements
* Minimum 2 years of experience in the coffee shop or F&B industry.
* Previous experience as a Senior Barista, Head Barista, or Barista Supervisor is preferred.
* Strong knowledge of espresso extraction, coffee brewing, milk steaming, and latte art.
* Good leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
* Able to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
* Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
* Responsible, disciplined, proactive, and customer-oriented.
* Willing to work flexible shifts, including weekends and public holidays.
