Job description for Finance and HR Intern at Bumi Journey
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Finance and HR Intern to join! This internship offers an exciting opportunity for you to gain hands-on experience in both finance and human resources function. As our Intern, you will work closely with both departments, assisting with various tasks and gaining exposure to key financial operations as well as HR processes.
- Journaling financial transactions and recording transactions that are subject to taxation, ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards and tax regulations.
- Assisting research related to internal policies, agreements, or Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) to support informed decision-making and process improvement.
- Support the People Department in facilitating various employee-related initiatives including employee engagement activities and development programs.
- Assist in collecting and organizing transaction documentation to ensure completeness and support reporting processes.
- Provide administrative support across departments, including assisting in payments preparing documents, updating databases, and coordinating with cross-functional teams.
Requirements:
- Final-year student pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, Human Resources, or a related field.
- Familiar with basic journal entries, accounting principles, and has an interest in tax and HR-related processes.
- Prior internship experience or involvement in student organizations/projects related to Finance and HR is a plus.
- Able to maintain confidentiality when handling financial data and employee-related information.
- Proficient in Google Workspace (especially Google Sheets and Docs) for reporting, document management, and administrative support.
- Adaptable, organized, and communicative, with the ability to collaborate across departments.
